Camp Kesem at UC Santa Cruz is a student-led national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children whose parents are affected by cancer. We provide a free, week-long summer camp experience where kids can just be kids—building friendships, gaining confidence, and finding a community that understands what they’re going through.
Throughout the year, our volunteers fundraise, plan activities, and create a safe, supportive environment for every camper. At camp, children have the chance to step away from the stress of illness at home and enjoy classic camp activities, mentorship, and emotional support from trained college student counselors.
Your support helps cover the full cost of camp, including meals, lodging, activities, and year-round programming for our campers and their families. Every donation directly impacts a child’s ability to experience joy, connection, and healing.
Join us in making camp possible—because every child deserves a place to feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
