The Medical TeleBrigade is an opportunity for student volunteers to virtually learn about mobile medical clinics in developing countries, including Honduras and Guatemala. Volunteers will be able to shadow local doctors during telemedical patient consultations and engage in Q&A sessions where doctors will introduce their professions and responsibilities in their own country. The goals of the TeleBrigade are to allow volunteers to gain leadership experience, practice medical Spanish, build cultural competence, and empower local doctors in medical clinics.
To make this experience more accessible, we need to organize fundraisers to achieve the donation goal to be eligible to partake in the TeleBrigades. The donations we receive from Spring Give will allow us to purchase food and supplies for fundraising events, and the proceeds will be used as financial assistance to contribute towards the TeleBrigade’s medical initiatives.
