Dickens Universe Graduate Travel Grants

The Dickens Project is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Victorian scholars. Our biannual conferences provide graduate students with the chance to connect with Victorianists from other universities, fostering valuable relationships that can aid in developing dissertation topics, job search endeavors, and manuscript publication. Moreover, participation in our program offers graduate students diverse opportunities, including teaching, conference presentations, and service on academic panels.

During the Spring Give, our primary objective is to replenish our funds to cover travel expenses associated with Dickens Project events. These funds will alleviate the financial burden on future participants, enabling them to fully immerse themselves in our enriching programming.

For every $1,000 donated, we can extend an additional graduate student the opportunity to attend a Dickens Project-sponsored event. Your generous contribution will help us expand our capacity to provide this invaluable opportunity to graduate students who might otherwise face financial constraints in participating and will help further research in the humanities.
