Academic Excellence (ACE) Program

The Academic Excellence (ACE) Program reduces the achievement gap for underrepresented students majoring in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) at UCSC. We've been doing this successfully for 39 years! ACE enhances educational equity through community building, peer-mentorship, and supplemental active learning experiences aligned with academic coursework. Here's why our students love ACE!

In these difficult times, your support will help us continue the important work we do to enable student success. More specifically, your help will allow us to:

• Expand program capacity so that even more students can benefit from the ACE experience
• Hire more student staff peer mentors who we rely on to model leadership and build community
• Give our students valuable opportunities to practice critical, content-specific STEM skills in a supportive, collaborative environment
