Support Undergraduate Training in Pediatric Cancer Research!
Bioinformatics is transforming the way we treat cancer, but most students enter college not knowing what it is. When you give to the Treehouse Undergraduate Bioinformatics Immersion (TUBI) program, you are introducing a student to a powerful new way they can make a difference in the lives of pediatric cancer patients, empowering both the next generation of scientists and the people they will one day help.
“I just loved being part of this program. It has opened my eyes to a part of science/research that I knew nothing about, but now I am actually very interested in it.” —TUBI Participant
Cuts in federal funding have reduced the number of mentorship opportunities that will be available to undergrads next year, which makes your support for programs like TUBI even more vital.
Last year, generous donor support allowed us to triple our sessions and train 60 new students in cutting-edge computational methods for identifying cancer treatment options. The results have been incredible:
- 91% said TUBI helped them see themselves as researchers
- 97% said it helped them overcome imposter syndrome
- 100% felt supported by their mentors
After seeing the difference that this program can make, we want to offer it to as many students as possible, but to continue at our current level, we NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
Your donation will have a ripple effect, not only touching the lives of the undergraduates who receive training, but also the lives of pediatric patients and their families who benefit from the life-saving methods these students contribute to.
Join us in our mission of defeating childhood cancer—please give today!
