CruzHacks is UC Santa Cruz's premier hackathon. Since 2014, we've welcomed 400–500 participants annually for 36 hours of innovation, collaboration, and building technology for social good.
Our Mission
We empower students to transform technical knowledge into real-world solutions. With prize tracks focused on social justice, sustainability, education, and healthcare, CruzHacks provides the environment, mentorship, and resources for students to build projects that matter.

Where Your Donation Goes
Donations directly fund prizes and swag that motivate students and create memorable experiences.
Real Impact
Students have built software helping people experiencing homelessness, real-time disaster trackers, COVID-19 platforms, and ASL-to-voice translation apps—solutions that continue making a difference beyond the weekend.
