Mission Statement:
The Chinese Student Association is a student organization and resource devoted to promoting unity and empowerment among UCSC students through education and recognition of Asian and Asian American culture, emphasizing Chinese and Chinese American cultural aspects. We strive to strengthen the diverse UCSC community by organizing events that create a space for student voices and coalition building.
Some of our largest events are made possible through Giving Day.
Flower festival is our house sorting event where we introduce members to all the "Houses" (Communities) and welcome new members into the community.
Banquet is our largest cultural celebration, featuring traditional fan dancing, lion dancing, and performances by UCSC groups.
YEC is our annual celebration for our graduating seniors. We are sad to see these members leave, but YEC allows us to give our seniors a lasting memory.
These events enable students to celebrate their culture, find community, and share traditions within the UCSC campus.
