El Centro is celebrating its 30th anniversary at UC Santa Cruz! Since our establishment in 1995, El Centro has been a hub of organized activities and resources supporting Latiné student transition, retention, graduation, and academic advancement. This milestone will be celebrated joyfully by hosting a Treintañera, a double Quinceañera. The celebration will highlight El Centro’s contributions to the campus community and recognize the contributions and accomplishments of interns, faculty members, staff, community members, and alumni. 

El Centro programs are funded by student fees, one-time supplemental grants, and the generous donations of alumni, allies, and supporters. During the Fall Giving Day, we are fundraising $30,000 for student scholarships. Every dollar raised will go directly to scholarships for students who are the leaders of our community. Your contribution will help ease the financial burden and empower our dedicated students to thrive in their academic journeys. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. 

Fall Give Donors will be honored for their contributions during our anniversary celebration on Saturday, April 12, 2025. During this one-day celebration, El Centro will host an Anniversary Luncheon and Alumni Networking Reception! Save the date and RSVP for La Treintañera.
