Help us continue the great tradition of teaching at the Chadwick Garden!
Over a thousand people each year come to learn organic gardening and farming skills at the Chadwick Garden, and we want to both improve our classroom space and support the teaching happening there. Funds raised would support the garden staff and equip our main teaching porch with roll-down sides along with new seed cabinets, storage, and counters.
The Center for Agroecology works to advance agroecology and equitable food systems through experiential education, participatory research, agricultural extension, and public service. We carry out this mission in part through dozens of workshops, public events, internships, and field trips at the Chadwick Garden each year. Since its founding in 1967, the Chadwick Garden has hosted research projects and a range of learners including apprentices, interns, and community members who have learned about sustainable, organic gardening methods and the food system. Help us upgrade this beloved outdoor classroom and continue to offer learning opportunities to students and the community in all types of weather
